Davidson, N.C., September 13, 2019 – Trane®, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services and a business of Ingersoll Rand, announced that it has acquired Arctic Chiller Group, a Canadian-based HVAC manufacturer, specializing in high efficiency air- and water-cooled magnetic bearing, modular, and process chillers for commercial HVAC and process cooling applications.

Arctic Chiller Group Awarded EnVisioneer of the Year 2019
Danfoss has named Arctic Chiller Group the winner of its tenth annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition. Arctic Chiller Group is using Danfoss Turbocor® oil-free magnetic bearing centrifugal compressors in the development of its air- and water-cooled chillers with new Arctic Boost option to dramatically reduce first costs of equipment as well as energy consumption.
Launched in 2010, the annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition recognizes North American original equipment manufacturers, building owners, municipalities, contractors, and end users that have introduced a new product, opened a new facility, or invested in a building or system upgrade in the past 18 months using Danfoss products or solutions to realize significant energy and environmental savings.
Arctic Chiller Group Wins Award at the AHR Exposition for New Products

The AHR (Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration) exposition is held alongside the ASHRAE Winter Conference. The conference is a bi-annual engineering event at which the work of ASHRAE is done. ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) is responsible for writing and updating the standards around construction, safety, and energy efficiency within the industry. The ASHRAE Innovation Award is a highly-coveted engineering design award given in ten categories for design excellence, innovation, and market impact. This year Arctic won finalist in two categories, cooling and heating. “We are very pleased to have been recognized from among hundreds of companies that had entered,” said Changiz Tolouee, Arctic Chiller Group’s Vice President of Engineering.
Arctic Chiller Group Makes Splash at the W.E.E.C. Show
Charlotte, NC – October 22nd, 2018
W.E.E.C. (World Energy and Engineering Congress) was held at the Charlotte Convention Center in downtown Charlotte, NC this year. Arctic had great traffic and a lot of interest in the new models of chillers being shown in the booth. The air-cooled SuperMod all variable speed modular chiller and the water-cooled PolyTherm (a new six-pipe modular chiller/heater) were both on display. Arctic was asked to speak at one of the technical sessions for Professional Development Credits, important to Professional Engineers. Arctic chaired the session “Modern Modular Chiller Applications and Compressor Options,” delivered by Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Mark Rogan.
Innovation Awards Recognize Arctic Chiller Group
The Innovation Awards recognize the industry’s most inventive products, systems and technologies. Each year, products in 10 different categories are recognized for being some of the HVACR industry’s most innovative products, systems and technologies.
Arctic Chiller Group is thrilled to be recognized as finalists in two categories: Cooling, with Arctic Cool (ACA and ACW Magnetic Bearing Chillers with Arctic Boost Option); and Heating, with ArctiChill (SuperMod all variable speed modular chiller platform).
This is the first year that Arctic Chiller Group has entered the competition.

Arctic Chiller Group Announces Sales Awards During AHR EXPO 2018
CHICAGO – January 21, 2018 – The Arctic Chiller Group recognized 12 of its North American sales representatives for superior performance in 2017.
At a celebratory dinner held during the AHR EXPO in Chicago, awards were presented in three categories: the Pinnacle, Platinum and President’s Award.
“We appreciate the dedication and support of every member of our sales team, and also believe it’s important to recognize those who have made significant efforts toward Arctic’s success,” said President and CEO Angelo Troiano. “These awards are presented annually during the AHR EXPO which is a high-profile event for us, and an ideal venue to honor our people.”
HTS Joins Arctic in Ontario
Arctic Chiller Group is pleased to announce a new partnership with HTS in the province of Ontario, Canada.
HTS is the largest independent built-to-order commercial and industrial full-service HVAC distributor in North America. HTS has 16 locations in the United States and Canada, with 7 locations in Ontario. The organization’s 300-plus sales employees work everyday throughout Ontario to promote the products they represent.
Sham Ahmed Joins Arctic Chiller

Sham brings with him 40 years of executive level experience in the HVAC industry and is well known as the founder of McQuay Canada, Ventrol Air Handling, and TMI Climate Solutions. He is an expert in lean manufacturing and quality systems and has helped many top tier companies achieve excellence while rapidly growing as Arctic is today.
Peter Fung Joins Arctic Chiller

We are pleased to announce that Peter Fung has joined the Arctic Chiller Group in the role of East Regional Sales Manager. Peter’s main duties will be sales growth, product promotion and education to the field sales offices, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, owners and architects in his region. He brings over 30 years of experience in chillers, custom airside equipment, and system solutions to the table for Arctic. He is also a certified Practicing Institute of Engineering presenter in the state of New York.
Prior to joining the Arctic Chiller Group team, Peter served as a Sales Engineer for Carrier International, East Regional Sales Manager for CES Group (now Nortek Air Solutions), and most recently East Regional Sales Manager for ClimateCraft custom airside equipment.
Changiz Tolouee joins Arctic Chiller

We are pleased to announce that Changiz Tolouee, PhD, has joined Arctic Chiller Group as the Vice President of Engineering according to President and CEO Angelo Troiano. With over 25 years of equipment design experience in the HVAC&R industry, Changiz will help drive new products to take Arctic to the next level of cutting edge design said Troiano.
Changiz also played an important role in the commercialization process of the Turbocor compressor and helped deliver the product from the R&D stage to commercial stage during his many years with Turbocor.
